NETPORE Winter Workshop
on Porous semiconductors and oxides
26 -28 February 2024
Topics
The NETPORE COST Action is an international network of world-class researchers and stakeholders to promote joint ideas and initiatives aiming to bridge the gap between fundamental developments and practical applications of technologies based on porous semiconductors and oxides.
Recent fundamental advances in porous semiconductors and oxides have demonstrated promising performance of these platform technologies for a broad range of energy and health applications. But the bench-to-bedside translation of these advances remains challenging. Current factors preventing these technologies from reaching the market are: product reliability, cost-effectiveness of production, uncertain long-term performance and benchmark reference, and added value of the final product.
NETPORE COST Action network fosters cutting-edge research and innovation in this technological field by providing opportunities for joint projects through Working Groups, bringing together a wide pool of expertise across academia and industry.
This NETPORE COST Winter Workshop outlines the key technical achievements and details the new measurement capabilities developed as a result of the collaborations within these energy themed projects. The Workshop is organized by the NETPORE COST Coordinator, Prof. Llous Marsal, Universidad Rovira y Virgili, (Sp) and locally by the Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica (INRiM, Italy).
It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the NETPORE COST Winter Workshop, to take advantage from the participation of prominent members of the Network working in different applicaiton fields, Energy, Materials, Surface Science, Nanofabrication, Metrology and pre-standardisation, giving lectures on the state-of-the-art in their respective fields.
The purpose of the school is to provide a friendly and stimulating environment where experts, students and young researchers are in close contact discussing about science and sharing mountain and ski experiences. We hope you enjoy your stay in Claviere!
