Marwan Channab obtained his Master degree in Physics of Advanced Technologies in 2019 at the University of Turin with a thesis entitled “Optical characterization of quantum systems in artificial diamond and 2D materials at cryogenic temperatures”. Part of the thesis has been carried at the Heriot-Watt University laboratories, where he developed his skills in the characterization and implementation of set-ups for optical measurements on single-photon sources in photoluminescence.
Nowadays, he is a PhD student in electronic engineering at the Politecnico of Torino and he is focusing on the simulation and characterization of spontaneous emitters coupled to optical structures based on hyperbolic metamaterials.
